On November 22, 2014,Hunter P was in a Ranger Polairs accident which pinned him underneath the row bars suffocating him. He was flown to St. Mary’s where he was given less than a 10% chance of survival. He stayed there til December 31, 2014 and was transferred to Brooks Rehab in Jacksonville, Florida for 20 days, where he made little to no change.
When we brought Hunter home he was still wheelchair bound, couldn’t talk or eat on his own. We started out patient therapies with him, and did a lot of work with him on our own. After getting him off most of his medication and lots of work, Hunter was starting to walk, talk and eat.
Though Hunter was doing quite well, we knew he needed more, but what?
Through many friends in the medical field, we heard about Center For Neuro Recovery CNR. We knew right away after meeting with Kevin and his team that we had to get Hunter in this program right away! Hunter has gained muscle mass, core and gait strengthening, flexibility, balance and so much more through this program. Hunter jokes about having a 6 pack and his walk is almost as good as new. The program has been a blessing to help Hunter gain back his strength and a portion of his life so that he can function in his day to day activities.
